Kaushik is a world cinema lover, part-time fashion designer and full-time ideator.
He started his career as a trainee copywriter in Clarion, Calcutta, in 1994 and soon realised that he thinks visually.
In 1997, he won his first advertising award. An international award, a bronze at New York Festival, for the launch commercial of an ATP Tour tennis tournament sponsored by ITC.
In 2000, Kaushik shifted agencies and cities and joined Leo Burnett, Mumbai. He enjoyed a long and successful stint in Leo Burnett and worked there for over seven years. In 2007-end, he was invited back to Bates-Clarion to try and help the agency revive its fortunes within the region.
Though Kaushik has over 15 years of experience in MNC agencies, he has worked in only two networks: Leo Burnett and Bates. As a result, Kaushik has spent extended periods of time building each of his brands, learning first-hand by grappling with their day-to-day, quarter-to-quarter and year-on-year challenges.
Some of the brands and companies Kaushik has worked for include McDonald’s, Hitachi, Tata Salt, ICICI Bank, Leela, ITC, Times of India, IndianOil and Fiat. To see some of his past work, click here.

In mid-2010, Kaushik started Tailor in a bid to provide more clients with customised solutions and help develop their own, authentic brand imagery.
