Kaushik is the Co-founder & Chief Ideas Officer at Tailor.

Before starting Tailor in mid-2010, Kaushik remained Creative Director at top-10 MNC advertising agency network such as, Bates and Leo Burnett, Mumbai.

Kaushik’s 15+ years of experience across categories has won him over 40 national and international awards, including at Cannes Lions.

He has been ranked among the top 25 creative people in India and among the top 300 in Asia by the industry magazine Campaign Brief Asia (Singapore).

Kaushik joined advertising at Clarion (Kolkata) in 1994, and won his first advertising award, an international one, at New York Festival. This was for the launch TV commercial of an ATP Tour tennis tournament sponsored by ITC.

In 2000, Kaushik shifted agencies and cities and joined Leo Burnett, Mumbai. He worked there from 2000-07, and was part of the core team which made Leo Burnett (Mumbai) the global network’s ‘Agency of the Year’ in 2004.

In 2005, Kaushik was sent on deputation to Leo Burnett, Italy, to work on the launch of Fiat Grande Punto for the European market.

In 2006, Kaushik’s print campaign for ‘The Maneland Jungle Lodge’ won a Lion at the Cannes Festival.

At the end of 2007, Kaushik was invited back to Bates (earlier Clarion) to help set up the Mumbai creative department and help the agency revive its fame and fortune within the region.

Some of the brands and companies Kaushik has worked for include ITC, McDonald’s, Hitachi, Tata Salt, Bajaj Auto, ICICI Bank, Reliance Communications, Leela Group of Hotels, Times of India, L’Oreal, IndianOil and Fiat. To see some of his work, click here
