Kiran Chandorkar is the Creative Director (Art) at Tailor.
Before joining Tailor, Kiran has worked in advertising agencies such as Leo Burnett, Saatchi and Piranha (Dubai).
When Kiran was a child, he chose the brush over a pen. Like artists in the far east, he preferred elegant strokes to plain writing. Not surprisingly, a few years later Kiran ended up at Sir JJ School of Art.
Calligrapher, designer, artist, Kiran worked in Leo Burnett between 1999-2004. At Leo Burnett, Kiran’s work in both ATL and BTL won multiple Abbys.
After a stint in Saatchi, Kiran shifted to Dubai for a few years where he joined creative boutique Piranha. His work at Piranha won a couple of Dubai Lynx awards.
Kiran has worked with many advertising gurus, but his true, long-term idol has been legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, whose autograph he desperately wanted as a kid.
In 2001-02, when Fiat was launching the signature edition Palio S10, it was cricketer Sachin Tendulkar who needed Kiran’s calligraphy skills for his autograph to be adapted and placed on the car successfully.
