When Kiran was a child, he chose the brush over a pen. Like artists in the far east, he prefered elegant strokes to plain writing. Not surprisingly, a few years later Kiran ended up at Sir JJ School of Art, falling in love all over again with the art and science of typography.
Calligrapher, designer, father, weekend mall-goer, Kiran worked in Leo Burnett between 1999-2004. After a stint in Saatchi, Kiran shifted to Dubai for a few years where he joined a creative boutique and spent his spare time exploring designing across malls and product categories.
Kiran has worked with many creative gurus, but his true idol is no adman. Kiran often dreamt of an autograph from legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar. A few years ago when Fiat was launching a special edition car that required Sachin’s signature to be adapted on it, ironically, the masterblaster chose to use Kiran’s rendition of the autograph.
