Kaushik is the Co-founder & Chief Ideas Officer at Tailor.

Before starting Tailor in mid-2010, Kaushik has worked as a copywriter and Creative Director for 15 years at top-10 MNC owned advertising agencies, including Bates and Leo Burnett, Mumbai.

Kaushik has conceptualised and written over 10,000 ads across media. He has won over 50 national and international awards, including at Bombay Ad Club, Singapore Spikes, Adfest Pattaya, London, New York Festival and Cannes Lions.

He has been ranked among the top-25 creative people in India and among the top-300 in Asia by Campaign Brief Asia Magazine (Singapore).

Kaushik joined advertising at Clarion (Kolkata) in 1994, and won his first advertising award, an international one, at New York Festival. This was for the launch of Gold Flake Open, an ATP Tour tennis tournament sponsored by ITC in India.

In 2000, Kaushik shifted agencies and cities and joined Leo Burnett, Mumbai. He worked there from 2000-07, and was part of the core team which helped Leo Burnett (Mumbai) become the global network’s ‘Agency of the Year’ in 2004.

In 2005, Kaushik was sent on deputation to Leo Burnett, Italy, to work on the launch of the car Fiat Grande Punto for the European market.

At the end of 2007, Kaushik was invited back to Bates (earlier Clarion) to help set up the Mumbai creative department and help the agency revive its fame and fortune within the region.

Kaushik is the only copywriter from India to be featured thrice in the World Press Awards and is a regular part of the jury at Bombay Ad Club Awards.
